Apps 4 Good is an alliance of talented software developers from Halifax, Nova Scotia who are passionate about improving our community. The group formed following the iPhone Hackaton 4 Charity event which aimed to build as many iPhone applications as possible over the course of a weekend. However unlike other hackathons, iPhone Hackaton 4 Charity was unique because the proceeds from the applications developed are donated to local charities.

There are incredible organizations in our community, like Feed Nova Scotia and Phoenix Youth Programs, that are doing amazing work everyday providing services for the less fortunate. Apps 4 Good is our way of helping those organizations, by doing what we love; build software.

We are very proud to announce our first two charity applications; Meet Me Here, a social planning app that let’s you send meetup info and your location to friends, and Wish You Were Here, a fun way to send brilliant digital postcards to your friends and family!
